Underground Project #3
Adroit Mining Services (AMS) is the preferred underground infrastructure provider for more than 25 major mining companies across Australia. Our turn-key approach, reputation for attention to detail, and timely execution of projects results in repeat work from many of our clients.
Pump stations, ladderways, vent doors, paste reticulation and dewatering infrastructure are core underground services offered by AMS.
AMS was engaged by one of its long-standing clients (a gold mining company based in the Southern Goldfields region of Western Australia), to provide paste filling services to provide access to a high-grade deposit.
The geographical limits of the task and nature of the ore body made the reticulation challenging to install, from the bore hole to the individual levels.
AMS supplied an experienced team in the installation of reticulation components, pipework, diverter valves, thrust blocks and bore pipes. Supported by our fleet of reliable, purpose-built underground equipment, this collaborative team of tradesmen, airleggers, equipment operators, riggers and truck drivers were the first under the ground and the last ones out.
AMS was able to satisfy the client’s requirements of delivering safely, on time, and with zero injuries. The team was also able to complete the project under the original proposed budget.
As a result of AMS’ support and quality of work delivered on this project, the client engaged our services for several other underground projects, as well surface infrastructure support for plant upgrade projects.
Underground Project #2
Throughout the years, Adroit Mining Services (AMS) has grown with its clients and streamlined its dewatering processes.
Today, underground mine dewatering is a cornerstone of our underground installations capacity, and our experienced team is often called upon for input into the design phase of infrastructure projects and to develop turn-key solutions.
A gold mining client in the Northern Goldfields region of Western Australia engaged AMS to extend and upgrade a pre-existing pump station.
As the original pump sets were dilapidated and beyond remedial repairs, the upgrade also included two new pumps as a part of the build. The new pumps been procured some time ago.
Due to the need to continually pump and keep the water out of the active mine areas, the client required the pumps be online, with no operational downtime during the upgrade.
This project presented a variety of challenges including rising main modifications and new vs old and pre-existing infrastructure changes.
As a result of AMS’ efforts and commitment to working within these time/delay and fabrication constraints, the client was able to continue pumping without service interruption.
AMS was commended for undertaking and executing this task and secured further project works with this client.
