Surface Project #1
Driven by a commitment to excellence, Adroit Mining Services (AMS) offers a range of services in support of large surface infrastructure installations.
AMS was engaged to be part of a new underground ventilation upgrade for a gold mining client in the Northern Goldfields region in Western Australia. The upgrade included installation of two surface-mounted ventilation fans, fed through a common Eschenberg bend.
The project was experiencing a variety of challenges including major production delays, limited technical back-up support, significant changes to on-site craneage requirements, excessive heat and inefficient working conditions for personnel.
As a result of AMS’ prior field and leadership experience supporting similar complex installations, the team was able to overcome these challenges through effective time and project management.
AMS supplied highly-skilled resources (mechanical installers, dogmen/riggers, carpenters and boilermakers) and specialised supervisors to support the project across day and night shifts. This supported the client’s request to have majority of the high-risk works (installing the fan components) completed during the day shift, while night shift readied components for the next crew’s tasks.
AMS was then able to seamlessly support the transition between the shutdown and removal of the original surface fans and commissioning the new installations, within 12hours.
As a result of AMS’ professionalism and commitment to success, the underground ventilation upgrade project was completed on time and on budget, with no recorded incidents and minimal disruption.
Surface Project #4
Adroit Mining Services (AMS) has a highly-capable team, committed to delivering quality surface infrastructure services such as process water management pump infrastructure, office/ablution installations, and mantle and concave rebuilds.
This team includes skilled and experienced building, fabrication and fitting specialists and engineering consultants.
A gold mining client, based in the Southern Goldfields region, had a large storage area which they wanted to retain, however it encroached on potential office space which they also needed.
AMS was engaged to provide a turn-key approach and design, fabricate, and install a mezzanine deck complete with office above it, to keep the storage area and create more office space.
Due to the client’s maintenance and production requirements, they requested a multi-stage installation process for the fabricated structural steel substructure. AMS was able to comply with these client’s requirements, without issue.
As soon as the decking was completed, pre-fabricated walls (with windows) were installed, electricians were engaged, and the gyprock was finished. Painting, architraves skirting and fittings were also supplied.
