Case Study: WTX Pumping Upgrade

Mine dewatering is a cornerstone of Adroit’s underground installations capacity. Clients are typically hamstrung by the need to get water in and out of their mines. Throughout the years, Adroit has grown with its clients and streamlined these processes to offer turnkey solutions for UG dewatering. The Adroit team has experience above that of their peers and are often called upon for their input into the design phase of infrastructure, giving clients comfort in the fact they are dealing with consummate professionals in the field. Coupled with the team’s ability to work within the client’s mine design and budget, sees Adroit being the first choice when infrastructure suppliers require equipment to be installed and running properly from inception.

AMS was recently awarded a job with the challenging task of extending and upgrading a pre-existing pump station. The original pump sets were dilapidated and far beyond remedial repairs. The upgrade also involved the incorporation of two new pumps as a part of the build, both of which had been procured some time ago. This posed a myriad of challenges in the form of rising main modifications, new vs old preexisting infrastructure changes coupled to the necessity to have the pumps running while this change out was underway. Team efforts from across the board allowed our client to get the results they desired all while working within these time/delay and fabrication constraints.

AMS was commended for undertaking and executing this task securing further works for our client.
